Pray for Youth Missions

Perhaps if there were more of that intense distress for souls that leads to tears, we should more frequently see the results we desire.’ Hudson Taylor

‘He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.’ Jim Elliot

‘Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.’ C.T.Studd

Today, there are 6.4 billion individuals in the world, a figure that is increasing by the minute! Of the approximately 16,000 people groups in the world, 6,900 remain least reached. Least reached is a missions term which means “lacking an indigenous community of believing Christians with enough resources and numbers to evangelize their own people group”. So that means 1 in 4 people have very little chance of hearing the Gospel. (Ethne 06)

In South East Asia alone, “least reached” describes 49.3% of the combined population. Yes, that’s nearly half of all South East Asians. For the non-math geeks, that’s about 271,769,000 people! (Ethne 06)

Pray for Missions:

1. That a youth mission movement to arise from this generation.

2. That young people may be challenged to live differently.

3. That young people will think of their calling and vocations as more than just fulfilling material needs and wants.

4. That Malaysia will send out more than 100,000 missionaries from our generation.

Wake up!

hello (:

How have you prayer warriors been?

As an LYPG we’ve been slacking and feel into a transition period were everything was pretty much a blur. Things have been stagnant. We had misty vision and like in those days, went around in circles.

That is all going to change from now on.

We came together and prayed to seek after God’s heart for what He wants us to do. And finally, God has given us direction! We now have pieces of a puzzle of what we know is God’s big plan for this nation, Malaysia. It’s going to be an exciting year! You wouldn’t want to miss out on what God is doing in your Malaysia 😉

There are so many reason of why we 18 year old’s don’t want to pray for Malaysia, and maybe you who are less than 18 would agree too. Often we say, I’m too young I don’t really know how to pray Malaysia memang no hope already, this sucha waste of time I’m not good enough We’re never good enough and we’re never worthy of our callings, that’s why we often say `God, Your garce is sufficient. I have made so many mistakes in my life, most I cannot take back. I’m a sinner + a lot of other things.

Why we choose to pray for this nation then? Let me put it in numbers for you (:

1) My righteousness is like a filthy rag. And when I say His grace is sufficient for me -what I’m saying is Jesus has died for me, He washed away my sins and His righteousness because of what He has done, is the one that clothes me. I am only worthy because I’m with Him. t’s like going for a VIP party. You can’t get in cause you’re just Sue Ann, 18. But when you go with the most important person, that changes everything. You get my drift? 😉

2) I am a Malaysian. And I am a christian. Both of which were called by God for me to be.

3) I believe in a God that does the impossible. I may doubt Him sometimes, but when I look at the universe.. or even something simpler, my body and how it functions. These everyday miracles make me go `Woah God, You are Almighty :O
He can use you and it doesn’t matter how old you are, or how well you speak. Moses didn’t speak well either. And God used him ohso mightily. …If Malaysia really had no hope, then all the more we should cry out to heaven and ask the God who gives hope and is hope into this land. I ain’t gonna see my country go down without a fight! Haha, are you?

4) Prayer is what fuels the work of God. We believe that. And we want to see more of God in this nation, in our schools, universities, colleges. This is definitely not enough. We want to see changes and we want a better tomorrow. We wants to see what God has in store, His great big and marvelous plan for the nation.

5) Sings* -And we can see that God you’re moving

A mighty river through the nations

And young and old will turn to Jesus

Fling wide your heavenly gates

Prepare the way of the risen Lord

Open up the doors and let the music play

Let the streets resound with singing

Songs that bring your hope

Songs that bring your joy

Dancers who dance upon injustice

– Did you feel the mountains tremble? Hillsongs.

I don’t want to just sing of these great things, I want to live them.

So even if your green, have ear wax that you can use to make candles, and you look exactly like Shrek; If you’re a talking donkey, OR all the above, haha. We’d love to meet you!! And we’d want very much for you to be apart of our LYPG family♥

Come and see what God is doing in Malaysia.

See you Saturday!
Love, Sueann.

How to start a LYPG

The 7 Steps to start a LYPG:

1. Talk to your youth leader/advisor abt your intention to start a LYPG and get approval.
2. Talk to another youth from another church who shares the same intention.
3. Meet the other youth to discuss how, where and when LYPG should begin meeting. And also how often.
4. Set up a blog once this information is confirmed (and approved by Youth leaders from the two churches)
5. Have your first LYPG in specified location and contact us (Eunice Wong- aiwern17@gmail.com) to indicate that you have had your first LYPG and give us your blog address (or facebook group link) so we can connect you at the MYPG blog.

Christmas and its true meaning..

Christ came for the sick not the healthy..
This Christmas,
let us imitate our Lord..

Do an act of random kindness  (ARK)
A good deed never stops rolling,
and our Father who sees our secret giving,
Shall reward us in the open..

Regards,
MYPG

Quotes on Prayer

“To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” Martin Luther.

“Let your prayer for temporal blessings be strictly limited to things absolutely necessary.” St. Bernard.

“Triumphant prayer is almost impossible where there is neglect of the study of the Word of God.” Reuben Torrey.

“”Prayerlessness is a sin.” Corrie Ten Boom.

“Against the persecution of a tyrant the godly have no remedy but prayer.” John Calvin.

“”Shall I give you yet another reason why you should pray? I have preached my very heart out. I could not say any more than I have said. Will not your prayers accomplish that which my preaching fails to do? Is it not likely that the Church has been putting forth its preaching hand but not its praying hand? Oh dear friends! Let us agonize in prayer.” Charles Spurgeon.

“Whole days and weeks have I spent prostrate on the ground in silent or vocal prayer.” George Whitfield.

“Bear up the hands that hang down, by faith and prayer; support the tottering knees. Have you any days of fasting andprayer? Storm the throne of grace and persevere therein, and mercy will come down.” John Wesley.

“Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of late – and how little revival has resulted? I believe the problem is that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it simply will not work. To pray for revival while ignoring the plain precept laid down in Scripture is to waste a lot of words and get nothing for our trouble. Prayer will become effective when we stop using it as a substitute for obedience.” A.W. Tozer.

“Prayer – secret, fervent, believing prayer – lies at the root of all personal godliness.” William Carey.

“Groanings which cannot be uttered are often prayers which cannot be refused.” Charles Spurgeon.

“Prayer is the breath of the new creature.” Richard Baxter.

And I love this the best:

“I have seen many men work without praying, though I have never seen any good come out of it; but I have never seen a man pray without working.” Hudson Taylor.

A few social injustices in our country

Malaysia is ruled by the rich and the powerful. With money, all manner of evil and injustice is tolerated and perpetrated. There is blood and a curse over our land because of great wrongs done so that the powerful can remain in power. Here is a list of injustices we would want to ask the God of Heaven to pardon, and may He intervene!

1. Unjust judicial system: The guilty declared innocent

2. Police force injustice/murder: Teoh Beng Hock and 350 others dying in custody

3. Religious intolerance perpetrated and instigated: Usage of Allah, revoking of permit of Herald, cow head protest

4. Foreign workers victimized: RELA officers mistreating, threatening and abusing our foreign friends

5. Innocent woman murdered by the govt, her blood cries out!

Thots after ThePlan

Leading up to thePlan, there were about 9 LYPGs existing. Since then, there has been requests to start more.

ThePlan allowed for more young people in Malaysia to be aware of what MYPG is. Many expressed their desire to start Local Youth Prayer Gatherings where they were. We will be in the process of gathering and strengthening these networks.

Many discouraging things are happening in Malaysia recently. The flames of prayer must not die, as we march on.
